Quality Assured Services, Inc. (QAS) named as one of America’s Fastest Growing Private Companies
Orlando, – Inc. Magazine, the premier publication for
small and medium-sized businesses, today released its 23rd annual Inc. 500
ranking of the fastest-growing private companies in the country. QAS ranks #127,
moving up from #208 in 2002.
QAS, for the second consecutive year, achieved triple digit growth as a national distributor of professional and consumer
diagnostic devices, sales, service, training and education. Manufacturers such as International Technidyne Corporation
division of Thoratec, Johnson and Johnson’s LifeScan division, Roche Diagnostics and HemoSense have joined the growing
list of QAS clients, seeking aggressive distribution, service and training for their newest home testing and professional products.
QAS joins the ranks of companies who have thrived through continued stagnation in the economy, posting an average five-year
sales growth of 1,312%. With aggregate revenue of $14.4 billion, Inc. 500 companies are a formidable market force.
While the United States shed 1.5 million jobs in 2002, Inc. 500 companies – half of which were launched with less than
$20,000 – provided employment for 67,973 people.
The continued success of QAS resides in their commitment to lower the cost of healthcare while helping consumers become
active participants in their own care by offering new, easy-to-use medical diagnostic devices available to both consumers
and medical professionals. These devices apply to numerous conditions ranging from management of blood-thinning medications
and diabetic concerns to home testing for thyroid, Alzheimer’s, Colon cancer and more. In addition to products, QAS offers
training, customer service and insurance reimbursement assistance for manufacturer’s customers, physicians, clinics and
consumers. Further growth is attributed to an increase in internet exposure with the addition of new anticoagulation websites
such as www.ptinr.com, www.hometestmed.com and
www.pointofcaretest.com featuring a variety of FDA cleared and Medicare
approved testing devices.
The Inc. 500 ranks privately held companies according to sales growth over the past five years. Over the years, the Inc. 500
has identified the next generation of world-class companies, with Microsoft, Stonyfield Farms, Timberland, Oracle, Princeton
Review, Morningstar, E* Trade, Intuit and Domino’s Pizza all appearing on the list before they became industry powerhouses.
QAS continues to seek out new and innovative technologies that improve the quality of life for the patient, consumer and
professional while setting the industry standard for service, training and support.
